site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,925 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 14.06%

February 23 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19
cases in Bulgaria reached 238,591 after 13,695 tests identified
1,925 new infections on Monday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. This is a record high number of daily
infections in Bulgaria since the beginning of the year. The test
 positivity rate now stands at 14.06 per cent.

The active cases are 27,629. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 3,933, including 334 in intensive care.

Another 777 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 201,029.

79 fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to
9,933.

With 11,709 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, a total of
131,063 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in
Bulgaria. The number of people who have been administered the
second dose of their vaccine adds up to 27,952.
