COVID-19 Update:
2,806 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 13.54%
Sofia, October 5 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 508,800, after 20,720 tests identified 2,806 new infections on Monday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 13.54 per cent.
Sofia tops the list of new cases with 737 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv with 252 cases and Stara Zagora with 170.
The active cases are 47,125. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 5,204, including 445 in intensive care.
Another 1,356 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 440,459.
With 178 fatalities were reported, the death toll now adds up to 21,216.
With 5,386 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,555,664 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,340,793 people are fully vaccinated.
