Director of Kozloduy N-plant Replaced

Sofia, September 19 (BTA) - The Executive Director of the
Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant, Ivan Genov, was replaced by a
decision of the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH), the "Capital"
paper writes on its website. The formal reason was reducing the
number of Board of Director members. The newly appointed
Executive Director is Dimiter Angelov, who served on this
position in 2008-2009.

BEH also decided to dismiss Board of Directors member Alexander
Nikolov. The two were closely involved in the project on the
construction of a new unit at Kozloduy jointly with the US
Westinghouse.

Genov is an employee of Kozloduy and was appointed as chief of
the N-plant by the former government of prime minister Plamen
Oresharski. He also served as executive director under the
government of the three-party coalition (Bulgarian Socialist
Party-Movement for Rights and Freedoms-National Movement for
Surge and Stability).

Nikolov was appointed as executive director by former economy
minister Traicho Traikov (GERB government) and subsequently
removed by his successor Delyan Dobrev. Later he was reappointed
to the management of the N-plant.
