Bourgas, on the Black Sea, September 30 (BTA) - Customs
officials at the Malko Turnovo border checkpoint seized 48 kg of
amphetamine tablets divided into 30 packets, the Bourgas
customs said Tuesday. The tablets were hidden in a Mercedes car
with a Bulgarian registration on its way out of the country.

The driver was a 50-year-old Bulgarian national residing in
Turkey. The substance was hidden in factory-made hollows in the
car. A field drug test established that the tablets contain a
synthetic stimulant.

The pre-trial proceedings will be conducted by an inspector of
the Bourgas customs.
