Starts in Varna
Sofia, October 11 (BTA) - The 32nd edition of the biggest event
of Bulgarian film making, the Golden Rose Film Festival, opens
the Black Sea city of Varna. Thirty-four films, among which 19
short ones, take part in the competition programme of the event,
held on the eve of the centennial anniversary of the Bulgarian
film making.
The jury is chaired by cameraman Emil Hristov who last year won
a Golden Rose award for directing "The Colour of the Chameleon".
This is the first time when the panel includes foreign judges
as well.
A number of films will have their first screening at the
festival, among them Georgi Dyulgerov's "Buffer Zone", Zahari
Paunov's "Hombre", "Adultery" of Yavor Vesselinov, "The Sinking
of Sozopol" of Kostadin Bonev, and "The Petrov File" of Georgi
Balabanov.
