Bulgaria-Indonesia Business Meeting

Sofia, May 4 (BTA) - "Bulgaria has been seeing a constant rise
of trade with Indonesia in recent years," Bulgarian Deputy
Economy Minister Lyuben Petrov said at the opening of a meeting
between business executives from the two countries, Petrov's
Ministry said on Monday.

Trade between Bulgaria and Indonesia reached 81.7 million US
dollars in 2014, 12.8 per cent up from 2013. Bulgaria is an
important transit centre between the markets of the EU, the
Middle East, North Africa, Russia and the Commonwealth of
Independent States, Petrov said.

In January-February 2015, bilateral trade between Bulgaria and
Indonesia amounted to 12.1 million dollars, a 62.9 per cent
increase, year-on-year.

Bulgaria is developing a modern and adequate transport and
logistic infrastructure. Access to maritime transport through
the Black Sea and river ports on the Danube is making it a
transport and transit hub, Petrov said.

The Bulgarian Government is taking tangible measures to promote
investments, including expeditious administrative services,
financial support for infrastructure, financial support for
vocational training and partial reimbursement of compulsory
social insurance contributions, acquisition of State- and
municipal-owned property on relaxed terms, as well as a package
of promotional measures for priority investment projects, the
Deputy Minister added.
