site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 2,289 New Cases, 113 Fatalities

December 4 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 701,469, after 36,775 tests identified 2,289 new infections on Saturday, 80.95 per cent of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/.

The active cases are 102,459. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 6,035, including 684 in intensive care. Of the 552 hospital admissions, 87.32 per cent were not vaccinated.

Another 3,323 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 570,241.

A total of 113 fatalities were reported (87.61 per cent unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 28,769.

With 19,825 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 3,057,437 vaccine doses have been administered so far. DT//
