Education Minister Denkov: Over 46% of Teachers Vaccinated,

Sofia, December 5 (BTA) - Over 46 per cent of teachers are vaccinated, Education and Science Minister Nikolai Denkov told Bulgarian National Radio here on Sunday. He also said that a total of 12.5 per cent of high school students have green certificates, meaning they have either been vaccinated against COVID-19 or recovered from the infection.

There are enough COVID-19 tests for all schools in the coming week, the Education Minister said, noting that around 60 per cent of students have requested to be tested on Monday. There are 80,660 tests in storage and the Health Ministry is expecting another few hundreds of thousands of tests next week, Denkov explained.

The Education Minister called on teachers not to start with tests and quizes, because students have been away from school and need time to adapt. It's much more important to make them feel comfortable in school than to start grading them immediately, he argued. MY
