Sofia, May 20 (BTA) - Bulgarian Government representatives and
World Bank leaders and experts discussed here on Wednesday the
opportunities for partnership in the next five years, Cabinet's

The meeting was attended by the four deputy prime ministers,
along with the ministers of Regional Development and Public

Information Technology and Communications, Agriculture and Food,
Health, Justice and Finance, the press release said.

The World Bank's team, headed by its Country Director for
Central Europe and the Baltic Countries, Mamta Murthi, and its
Country Manager for Bulgaria, Tony Thompson, discussed with
Cabinet how the international financial institution can support
Bulgaria's efforts to reach sustainable growth and bring its
living standards on a par with those of the EU. The discussion
also focused on ideas for policies, aimed at fast, inclusive and
sustainable growth through improving the business environment,
measures in infrastructure and investments in the work force.
Retaining macroeconomic and social stability in Bulgaria was
outlined as a key factor for achieving sustainable growth.

The World Bank will publish its main conclusions about the
conditions for sustainable growth in Bulgaria in a report, which
