Police Intercepts Truck Full of Migrants near Sofia

Sofia, June 29 (BTA) - A TIR-truck full of illegal migrants was
intercepted by police near the village of Lozen, Sofia Region,
in the early hours of Monday.

Mladen Mladenov, head of the Sofia Police, said that a police
patrol first detected two vehicles, whose drivers behaved
suspiciously and refused to obey police orders. One attempted to
drive into the police car.

Later the police found a TIR-truck, carrying nearly 120 people,
including whole families, who are thought to be Syrians.

The police is looking into the role of the drivers in the human
trafficking ring.
