Killer of British Woman in Yambol Village Arrested
Sliven, Southern Bulgaria, August 2 (BTA) - The person who killed a British woman in the village of Malomir, near Yambol, has been detained, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said on Sunday. The killer is a repeat offender.
The heavy crime was perpetrated at the end of July. The body of the woman bearing marks of a violent death was discovered on July 31, the Yambol police directorate said on Saturday. The woman was killed by violent means, she had been hit and burned.
Malomir Mayor Hristina Dimova said that the victim is a British woman, about 60 years old. She and her husband had been living in the village since a couple of months ago. The village of Malomir has the biggest community of British expatriates in the Yambol Region, 300 people, Dimova said.
