Loans Increase 1.6% Y-Y

Sofia, August 8 (BTA) - At the end of June 2015 the total amount
 of loan claims of corporations specializing in lending was
2.047 billion leva (2.4 per cent of  GDP)  compared  to 2.014
billion leva (2.5 per cent  of  GDP)  at  the  end  of  June 
2014, the Bulgarian National Bank said on Monday.  It  increased
  by  1.6 per cent, or 33 million leva, compared to the second
quarter of 2014 and by 2.5 per cent, or 50 million leva in
comparison with March 2015.

Loan claims were influenced  by the net sales of loans by
corporations - their amount for the last  12 months  was  171.1
 million leva.  On  an  annual  basis,   loans  sold  were 180.4
 million leva of which  56.8  million leva during the second
quarter of 2015.

In   the   maturity   structure   of   loan   claims,   those  
with   maturity   over   5   years   prevailed   and   amounted
  to  631.6 million leva at the end of June 2015. They increased
 by 34.4 per cent (161.7 million leva) compared with the  same
month of 2014 and by 9 per cent (52.1 million leva) in
comparison with the end of March 2015.  At  the  end  of  the 
second  quarter  of  2015  loan  claims  with  maturity  of 
over  1  and  up  to  5  years  were  607.3  million leva.  They
  decreased  annually  by  4.4 per cent  (28.2 million leva), 
while  increasing  by  2.8 per cent  (16.5 million leva) in 
comparison  with  the  first  quarter  of  2015.  Loan  claims 
with  maturity  up  to  1  year  were   342.1 million leva  at 
the  end  of  June 2015. They increased by 16.2 per cent (47.8
million leva ) compared to the end of the same month of 2014 and
  by 6.4 per cent (20.6 million leva)  in  comparison  with  the
  end  of  the   first  quarter  of  2015. 

At  the  end  of  June  2015  the  amount  of  overdue loans was
 465.7 million leva compared with 614 million leva at  the end
of June 2014. At  the  end  of  June  2015  loan  claims  on 
households  and  the non-profit institutions serving households
sector (NPISHs) increased annually by 5.4 per cent (79.9 million
 leva) to 1.568 billion leva. Compared to the end of March 2015
they increased  by 3.3 per cent (49.8 million leva).

In  the  structure  of  loan  claims  on  Households  and 
NPISHs   sector  consumer  loans   prevailed.  They  were  1.297
 billion leva at the end of the second quarter of 2015. They
increased annually by 13 per cent (149.6 million leva) and by 
5.8 per cent  (71.2  million leva)  in  comparison  with  the 
end  of  March  2015.
