Bulgarian Foreign Ministry Expresses Concern over Russian Court's Sentence against Eston Kohver

Sofia, August 19 (BTA) - The Bulgarian Foreign Minister
expresses deep concern over the sentence of a Russian court
against Estonian national Eston Kohver, the ministry said in a
press release Wednesday.

The Foreign Ministry notes that Kohver was kidnapped by the
Russian special services and held  illegally in a Russian
custody for almost one year, in violation of international law.
 
Bulgaria expresses solidarity with its ally Estonia and once
again calls on the Russian Federation to observe its
international obligations, to release immediately Mr Kohver and
to guarantee his safe return to his home country, the press
release reads.
