Eurojust Has Received 100 Cases from Bulgaria in 2014

Sofia, October 21 (BTA) - The cases in Eurojust at the request of Bulgarian authorities
numbered 100 in 2014, while the organization's Bulgarian bureau has processed 80 cases in that same year, it transpired from a meeting between Bulgarian Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov and Eurojust President Michele Coninsx, Tsatsarov's Office reported on Wednesday.

Coninsx is on a three day official visit to Bulgaria at Tsatsarov's invitation. The main topics the two discussed were the fight against terrorism and illegal migration.

Eurojust's Bulgarian bureau is working very hard and is very well represented, Michele Coninsx noted.

Eurojust's strategic priorities are in unison with the most important problems and challenges facing Bulgaria - the fight against organized crime and corruption, counter-terrorism, overcoming the refugee crisis, and countering and punishing human trafficking, the participants in the meeting said.
