Foreign Ministers of Bulgaria, Greece Confer in Thessaloniki

Athens, April 22 (BTA) - The development of the bilateral political and economic relations was high on the agenda of a meeting in Thessaloniki on Thursday between the foreign ministers of Bulgaria and Greece, Daniel Mitov and Nikos Kotzias, the Greek Foreign Ministry said in its website.

The talks were held at the sidelines of the Quadrilateral Meeting on cross-border cooperation between Bulgaria, Greece, Albania and Macedonia which started on Thursday in Thessaloniki.

During the meeting, Mitov and Kotzias also noted the excellent level of bilateral cooperation, the coordination of the two partnersТ actions within the framework of the European Union, as well as cooperation with third countries in the context of trilateral cooperation configurations and on a multilateral level.

Kotzias also conferred separately with his counterparts from Albania and Macedonia.

At the opening of the Quadrilateral Meeting the Greek Foreign Minister said that his country plans to launch a series of international conferences.

The ministers of the interior of the four countries also meet within the Quadrilateral Meeting.
