Bulgarian President Plevneliev Sends Condolencesto Turkish President Erdogan
Sofia, June 28 (BTA) - Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev Wednesday sent a condolence letter to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in connection with the terrorist attack at Ataturk International Airport, in which dozens of citizens were killed and many others injured, the head of State's Press Secretariat said.
"I was deeply shocked and grieved by the news of the terrorist acts that resulted in the killing of innocent citizens and numerous casualties. The Republic of Bulgaria strongly condemns these manifestations of violence and all forms of terrorism targeting peaceful civilians, that cannot be justified in any way," Plevneliev's letter reads.
On behalf of the Bulgarian people and on his own behalf, the President offers most sincere condolences to the bereaved families. "At this harrowing moment, I would like to express our empathy and sympathy and to wish those injured a speedy recovery," the condolence letter reads further on.
