site.btaBTA Becomes Partner of New European Bauhaus Initiative

Sofia, December 23 (BTA) - The Bulgarian News Agency became a partner of the European initiative for creating more beautiful, sustainable and inclusive forms of living together, New European Bauhaus. This initiative is the link between the European Green Deal and our living spaces. It calls on Europeans to imagine and build together a sustainable and inclusive future that is beautiful to the eyes, minds, and souls.  

The new European Bauhaus is a creative and interdisciplinary movement in the making. It is a platform for experiments and connections that encourages collaboration between thinkers and actors who want to design our future ways of living together. It is a bridge between science and technology, art, and culture. It is a call to change attitudes and to accept the environmental and digital challenges we face as opportunities for a better life.   

The initiative aims to shape our thinking, behaviour, and markets in accordance with new ways of life and construction, including by influencing public procurement, the initiators note.      

The new European Bauhaus brings together citizens, experts, businesses, and institutions, and makes it easier to talk about ways to make tomorrow's housing more physically and financially accessible; it mobilizes designers, architects, engineers, scientists, students, and creative minds from all disciplines to rethink sustainable lifestyles in Europe and beyond; it strives to improve the quality of our lives.      

The initiative emphasizes the value of simplicity, functionality, and reusability of materials, without compromising the need for comfort and attractiveness in our daily lives; it provides financial support for innovative ideas and products through ad-hoc calls for proposals and through coordinated programmes included in its multiannual financial framework.
