RB Leader Kuneva: It Is Inappropriate to Turn Your Back When a Mandate Is Handed

Sofia, December 5 (BTA) - "Mandates are not taken, they are given. It is inappropriate to turn your back when a mandate is offered. To turn your back to the President shows blatant lack of political and social culture," Reformist Bloc leader Meglena Kuneva said on Monday. She was approached by journalists about when the Reformist Bloc and GERB will meet and whether there are divisions within the Bloc with regards to accepting the third government forming mandate by the President.

"There will be conclusions, we'll say clearly why the mandate is handed to the Reformist Bloc if this happens and what the chances are within this majority," said Kuneva.

She admitted to different opinions within the Bloc. 'It is impossible after the resignation for the current ministers to serve on in any other government within the current legislature," she added.

She said that the Reformist Bloc won't participate in the executive branch of government but would look for a unifying figure to be given free reign to form a cabinet.
