Reformist Bloc, Voice of the People Party Sign Agreement on Joint Participation in March 26 Parliamentary Elections

Sofia, February 17 (BTA) - The right-wing Reformist Bloc (RB) coalition and the Voice of the People party led by Svetoslav Vitkov (more familiar as the lead singer of the Hipodil band) Friday signed an agreement on joint participation in the March 26 early parliamentary elections. The Bulgaria Cause political party will too join the agreement.

Vitkov is likely to be placed at the top of the joint list of the RB and his party in Sofia, where he will compete with GERB leader and former prime minister Boyko Borissov and Bulgarian Socialist Party leader Kornelia Ninova who too top their parties' lists.

Vitkov said after the signing of the agreement that in the course of three years the Voice of the People party had refrained from coalescing with another entity but is doing it now in the name of the protection of the interests of the citizens.

RB's campaign HQs leader Peter Moskov said that the right must stay united.

Union of Democratic Forces (part of the RB) leader Bozhidar Loukarski described the broader coalition as "a good national selection which will hopefully have more players in the next Parliament than those playing in the populist team".
