Sofia, November 9 (BTA) - Deputy Finance Minister Kiril Ananiev has been officially nominated for Health Minister. The parliamentary press office told BTA that a draft decision for a personnel change in the government has already been submitted to Parliament's Records Office.

Ananiev is proposed to fill a ministerial office left vacant after the resignation of Nikolay Petrov amid a scandal over controversial award of public procurements during his tenure as head of the Military Medical Academy in Sofia.

Ananiev has been rumoured as the next health minister for several days now. His nomination was approved by the ruling coalition earlier this week but his name was not immediately disclosed by the party. GERB officials said they would wait for Parlriament to vote the state budget for next year before they announce the nomination.
