Sofia, February 13 (BTA) - At an official ceremony in Kandahar, Afghanistan, the 35th Bulgarian military contingent took over its tasks within NATO's Resolute Support Mission, the Defence Ministry said Monday.

The Train Advise Assist Command - South (TAAC-South) Commander, Brig. Gen. John Lathrop, conferred medals on the service members from the 34th Bulgarian military contingent for their participation in the Resolute Support Mission. Attending the ceremony were service members from coalition partner countries.

The 35th Bulgarian military contingent's tasks are mainly related to organizing the control regime of vehicle and pedestrian flow at Kandahar Airport, as well as training, advisory and methodological support for formations and service members of the Afghan National Army.
