Sofia, February 14 (BTA) - Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3 .6 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2017 from the same quarter of the previous year and by 0.8 per cent from the third quarter of 2017, according to seasonally adjusted data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI), released on Wednesday.

According to NSI's flash GDP estimates,the GDP at current prices amounted to 27,875 million leva, and gross value added (GVA) amounted to 24,060 million leva in the fourth quarter of 2017.

In the GDP structure according to the expenditure approach, final consumption had the largest share (82.3 per cent), amounting to 22,954 million leva in nominal terms. In the fourth quarter of 2017, gross capital formation amounted to 6,297 million leva, accounting for 22.6 per cent of GDP.

The external balance (exports minus imports) was negative.

According to seasonally adjusted data, GVA increased by 0.9 per cent in the last quarter of 2017 from the previous quarter.
