Sofia, July 23 (BTA) - The Foreign Ministry Monday said there are no data of Bulgarians injured or killed in Sunday night's shooting in a district of Toronto.
Around 10 pm local time on Sunday, a man opened gunfire in Toronto's Greektown quarter, injuring 13 persons and killing one. One of the victims is in a critical condition.
Bulgarian Consul General in Toronto Peter Kraychev has learned from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police that there is no information about Bulgarians having been hurt in the shooting.
The Bulgarian Consulate General is in contact with the local authorities, follows the development of the situation and is ready to provide assistance, if needed. Bulgarians can receive information or submit an alert about their relatives by calling +1 416 892 1738.
