The flu epidemic in Dobrich region has been extended, the Regional Health Inspectorate reported here on Tuesday. The anti-epidemic measures will be in force until 16 February. However, classes will not be suspended and there are no plans to organize online classes for students. The decision was made following a meeting of the regional taskforce monitoring the spread of influenza and acute respiratory diseases.
Cases of acute respiratory diseases in the Dobrich region have increased compared to the previous week, according to the weekly bulletin published on the website of the Regional Health Inspectorate in Dobrich. The overall incidence of influenza and acute respiratory diseases in the district was 214.38 per 10,000 people. This compares to 190.87 per 10,000 the week before. For the period from 2 to 8 February, a total of 175 cases of infectious diseases were registered, of which 155 cases of influenza and acute respiratory diseases. In the past week, there were 160 cases.
According to the data of the Regional Department of Education - Dobrich, an average of 8% of students in the district are absent from school.
