site.btaCherveni Kamak in Western Bulgaria Declared New Protected Area
Caretaker Minister of Environment and Water Petar Dimitrov has issued an order for the designation of the Cherveni Kamak landmark as a new protected area, the Ministry reported on Monday. The landmark comprised of beautiful rock formations occupying an area of 4.4 ha near the village of Chelopech, Western Bulgaria, was added to the list of protected areas as suggested by the Association of Parks in Bulgaria.
Any activities that may cause disturbance and destruction of species and damage to the landscape are prohibited. The promulgation of the order in the State Gazette is pending.
