site.btaA Total of 156 Fires Extinguished Across Bulgaria on Wednesday

A total of 156 fires were extinguished across the country on Wednesday, the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection said on its website. Fire brigade units responded to 198 alerts.

There were 20 fires with direct material damage, of which eight occurred in residential buildings, two in auxiliary, temporary or adobe buildings, five in vehicles, and one in a forest. A total of 136 fires occurred without material damage. 38 rescues and relief operations were carried out, of which 10 in vehicle accidents.

Firefighters received four false calls.
