site.btaIzmail Hosts Final Panel of 19th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media

The Ukrainian city of Izmail will host the final panel of the 19th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media on Friday. The forum organized by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) began on June 18, with panels taking place in Odesa, and Bolhrad. Mottoed "Media and Community", the event has been held in a hybrid format (in person and online). 

The Bulgarian delegation has witnessed six air raid alerts since 18 June. The wailing sirens interrupted the second panel of the meeting in Bolhrad on Thursday. Later in the day, Ismail Mayor Andrii Abramchenko conferred with the Bulgarian delegation, minutes after the third air raid alert for the day in Odesa region was called off.

Friday's panel will be held at the Izmail State University of Humanities. Titled "Science and Universities as Appearing in Bulgarian Media", the discussion will be moderated by BTA Deputy Director General Evgenia Drumeva. Participating will be Fleet Admiral Prof. Dr. Boyan Mednikarov, Head of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy in Varna, Prof. Dr. Georgi Valchev, Rector of the St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, Prof. Dr. Dragomir Plamenov, Rector of the Technical University in Varna, Prof. Dr. Evgeni Stanimirov, Rector of Varna University of Economics, Focus Radio Programming Director Iva Doichinova, Prof. Dr. Eng. Plamen Kangalov, Rector of the Angel Kanchev University of Ruse, and Prof. Dr. Yaroslav Kichuk, Rector of the Izmail State University of Humanities.
