site.btaBulgarian Embassy in Mexico Hosts Piano Concert Featuring Romeo Smilkov

The Bulgarian Embassy in Mexico will host a piano concert featuring Prof. Romeo Smilkov on Wednesday evening, the Embassy said in a Facebook post. The event is a joint initiative with WISDOM ESCUELAS and the Rodna Rech School.

The concert programme includes selected works by Bulgarian and Slavic composers, the event poster reads.

Romeo Smilkov was born on July 7, 1960, in Chirpan. He graduated from the State Academy of Music, now the National Academy of Music in Sofia. Smilkov has been an Associate Professor of Piano at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv since 2008 and a Professor since 2014. A laureate of Bulgarian and international competitions, he has performed in Bulgaria and in 16 countries across Europe and Asia, the Sofia Philharmonic website notes.
