site.btaInternational Forum on Teaching Bulgarian Language in Multilingual Environment Takes Place in Athens

Аn international forum on teaching Bulgarian in a multilingual environment took place in Athens between March 29 and 31, said the Bulgarian Embassy in the city on Friday.  

The event was organized at the initiative of Gencho Banev – a Bulgarian lecturer at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as a part of a project under Bulgarian Education Ministry’s programme “The Untold Stories of Bulgarians”.

The forum was hosted by the Vasil Levski Bulgarian Sunday school in Athens at the Seliminski Cultural Centre.

The meeting gave an opportunity to university professors, lecturers in Bulgarian studies, representatives of Bulgarian organizations and Sunday schools in more than 20 countries to exchange views and experiences in discussions on various topics related to the teaching of the Bulgarian language and the opportunities it gives for the professional realization of young people.
