Twenty students living in Germany and France visited Sofia, Veliko Tarnovo, Pliska, and Veliki Preslav under the National Programme of the Education and Science Ministry - Bulgarian Educational Routes, the Ministry said on its website.
After a discussion at the National Archaeological Museum, the students were welcomed by Central Library Director of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) Dr. Silvia Naydenova. She introduced them to the history of the oldest scientific library in the country. In the reading room, the young people had the opportunity to look at some of the most valuable books kept in the library's rich collection.
