Bulgaria’s Gorana Dance folk ensemble and Georgia’s Dancing Crane Company sang and danced at the Sixth Roses Across the Sea - Gorana International Dance Festival in New York, the Bulgarian Consulate General in New York said on Facebook on Monday. The Festival, held on October 22, was dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and the US.
The artists performed a dance dubbed Colors Of Love, which is the outcome of five years of joint work.
The Bulgarian Consul-General in New York, Angel Angelov, greeted the performers and the audience and cited the international festival as an illustration of the role cultural diplomacy plays in the promotion and celebration of Bulgarian culture in the US.
Angelov also forwarded greetings to the Consul-General of Georgia in New York, Maia Bartaia, who was unable to attend the festival due to a prior engagement.
