The ensemble Zora, based in Paris, will present Bulgarian dances for a second year in a row during the International Gastronomy Festival, which will take place from September 7-10 at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the folklore formation announced Thursday on its Facebook page.
“We invite you to our first performance this season! From September 7 to 10, 2023, the International Gastronomy Festival (Village International de la Gastronomie) will be hosted at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. This is the biggest culinary event devoted to traditional and popular cuisines. Over 50 countries will take part in it. Bulgaria will be represented by Chef Pisanov,” the post reads.
The participating countries will present dance and music performances in the course of four days. Visitors and professionals “will be able to enjoy a series of incredibly diverse concerts and performances”. The ensemble performance will take place at 4:30 p.m. on September 9.
Ensemble Zora participates in numerous cultural events in France and other European countries, including England, Italy, Spain, and Germany. Its repertoire consists of dances from all ethnographic regions of Bulgaria, and dance performances by distinguished Bulgarian folklorists and choreographers such as Kiril Haralampiev and Ivan Donev, the Association Zora’s website says.
