Bulgarians are gathering in Chicago to see how their country will be represented during the Mount Prospect Celebration of Cultures 2023, the Bulgarica Cultural Center said.

The event starts at 11:00 a.m. Saturday local time, at which time a short proram and parade will be presented to introduce all the cultures. 

The Bulgarian presentation is scheduled for 4:00 pm and will feature the Bulgarica Dance School, Vivanov-Chicago Dance Formation, Sonia Membreno. Several choreographed dances will be performed and Sonia Membreno will sing famous Bulgarian songs.

There will also be a special presentation of Bulgarian culture with a Bulgarian stand, as well as a variety of items with folklore motifs, the organizers noted.

The festival is at Kopp Park in Mount Prospect (behind the RecPlex, 420 Dempster Street, Mount Prospect, IL 60056).
