site.btaDeputy Agriculture Minister: Nearly BGN 200 Mln Available for Wine Sector between 2024 and 2027
Caretaker Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Deyan Stratev, who spoke at the 10th Wine and Gourmet Festival here on Friday, said that the budget for investments in the wine sector set out in the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan for Agriculture and Rural Development is nearly BGN 200 million for the four-year period between 2024 and 2027, the Ministry press service reported. Stratev said that funding applications worth more than BGN 13 million will be accepted in June and July for the 2024 financial year under three procedures: investments in the wine sector, investments in environmental facilities and restructuring and conversion of vineyards.
The deputy minister said that his ministry's efforts are directed at ensuring access for grape and wine producers to the support instruments offered by the Common Agricultural Policy.
Stratev said he was confident that the Plovdiv's Wine and Gourmet Festival will bring together true wine connoisseurs.
