Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov voted in Sunday's early parliamentary elections and told the media that he voted so that Bulgaria can be an example, not a laughing stock, especially in the eyes of its own people. He chose to vote by machine.

Kostadinov commented that the bad thing he sees at the moment is that there is a low voter turnout, "catastrophically low". "I want to tell the Bulgarian people that if they don't vote today, they are killing their own future, they are killing their present, they are killing their children, they are killing Bulgaria as a whole. Because those who sell their votes for BGN 200-300-400-500, depending on the population, have no such scruples, and tonight we may see a collapsed country, a country where you can to enter parliament with just 50,000-60,000 votes," he said.

Kostadinov noted that people are desperate, not disappointed, because they do not believe that there will be any change. "And how can they believe, when they see how all parties, except Vazrazhdane, upon entering parliament, have no problem cheating on their pre-election promises," said the leader of the formation.

He added that the goal of Vazrazhdane is for Bulgaria to be a free and independent country and for Bulgarians to determine for themselves what is good and what is bad for them, to distinguish those who work for Bulgarian interests and those who work for foreign interests.
