site.btaBulgaria Should Lead Peace Negotiations Between Russia, Ukraine, Says Socialist MP Candidate in Haskovo
A high voter turnout will show that this is not an election of fear, said BSP-United Left Haskovo top-of-the-list candidate Vladimir Marinov during a meeting with residents in Harmanli on Thursday.
"The country needs a social system of government and protection of national interests. Bulgaria's highest interest is lasting peace in the Balkans, which is why our country should be an intermediary for peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, two brotherly, Orthodox nations", Marinov pointed out.
He noted that at critical moments the power of the left has been a factor in progress. "In today's society, values such as solidarity and justice are suppressed, while when it comes to left-wing people, they are the basis of the proposed policies", Marinov emphasised.
Long-time BSP MP Zhelyo Boychev also attended the meeting to show support for Marinov and other party MP candidates in the region.
