"Bulgaria is a living organism, we must fix our country," said Velichie leader Ivelin Mihaylov at a meeting with citizens in Sofia on Monday. He stressed that his party has a 20-year plan for the reconstruction of Bulgaria.
Velichie called for a full audit of pension funds and added that the Bulgarian Development Bank, the health system and many other sectors are being "plundered". Velichie also declared they are against the closure of the Maritsa-East coal complex.
"This will not be the last election we will participate in, I don't see how we can achieve anything in this configuration so that we can really move forward", Mihaylov stressed, adding that there are many knowledgeable and capable people who are ready to "step in and help". He stated that the gap between the poorest and the richest should narrow, and that he will "bring business back to Bulgaria".
Asked whether his party would work for changes in the Constitution and for a presidential republic, he said, "First we have to do our immediate work, then we should talk about changing the form of government".
