Infrastructure and rail transport are among the main priorities of Velichie [Grandeur] party, founder of the formation Ivelin Mihaylov said on Sunday in Sofia at an open campaign meeting with citizens. Mihaylov presented the party's programme.
According to him, if there is good public transport everywhere, people will prefer to move around by it, not by cars. There should be proper infrastructure to transport people and goods, he noted.
He said that if the rail network in Bulgaria improved, traffic on the roads would be reduced. Motorways should be completed and Vidin, Vratsa and Sofia should be connected with an expressway, Mihaylov added.
Sea and river transport are also among the party's priorities, he said.
MP Krasimira Katincharova presented the party's candidates for MPs in Sofia's multi-mandate constituencies (MIR) - 23, 24 and 25 as well as Sofia Region.
Katincharova briefed the attendees on the party's activities in the 50th National Assembly and recalled that the non-members of the parliamentary group proposed a draft for amendments to the Constitution, but it was not supported by any of the other MPs.
