The conditions for hiking in the mountains on Thursday are poor, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) told BTA.

The weather is cold, cloudy, foggy and raining, the MRS said.

It will be mostly cloudy in the mountains. In many places there will be showers of rain, above 1,600-1,700 metres - of snow, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology said. Light to moderate northwesterly wind will blow. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 metres will be about 7C, at 2,000 metres - about 0C.
