site.btaEight Bulgarian Boxers to Compete in U23 European Championships in Sofia

Eight selected boxers will represent Bulgaria at the U23 European Boxing Championships for men and women in Sofia. The tournament will take place at Sofia Hall between October 12 and 20.

A total of 340 boxers from 34 countries will participate in the event. The matches will take place in two sessions everyday – at 2 p.m. and at 5.30 p.m. The finals are scheduled for 4 p.m. on October 19 and 20.

The Bulgarian team is comprised of athletes Nikolay Marinov, Radoslav Rosenov, Krasimir Dzhurov, Rumen Rumenov, Blagovest Nedelchev, William Cholov, Miroslav Dimitrov, and Mikita Gorbatenko. The team is coached by Joel Arrate, Valentin Poptolev, and Alexander Alexandrov.

The U23 European Boxing Championships matches will be broadcasted live on sportbg.bg.

During the European Championships, there will also be celebrations on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of organized boxing in Bulgaria.
