Daniel Trifonov won a silver medal in the men's artistic gymnastics vault final and finished eighth in the high bar final at the FIG World Challenge Cup in the Hungarian city of Szombathely on Sunday.

On vault the Bulgarian received a score of 14.150 points (14.100 points for his first attempt and 14.200 for his second attempt) and climbed to the second place on the podium.

The champion was Kazakhstan's Assan Salimov (Kazakhstan) with 14.300 points.

An error in his performance also deprived Trifonov of a medal in the high bar final. He remained eighth with 11.600 points, while gold went to Hungary's Krisztofer Mészáros with 13.900 points.
