Bulgarian judoka Gabriela Dimitrova has won bronze at the Podgorica Senior European Cup 2024 held from September 21 to 22 in Montenegro. 

In the women's -52 kg event, Dimitrova defeated France's Mathilde Fayol. Prior, she won over Russian judoka Karina Efimova in the quarter-final, and lost to Serbia's Nikolina Nisavic in the semi-final. 

Bulgarian Aleksa Georgieva placed fifth in the same category after defeating Mathilde Fayol in the repechage.

This is the second title Bulgaria won at the tournament after Ivan Simeonov took the gold medal in the -60 kg event on September 21.

The rest of the Bulgarian representatives - Georgi Konev (-81 kg) and Kristian Tsvetanov (+100 kg) did not make it to the finals.
