site.btaBulgaria Earns Seventh Olympic Medal with Kaleyn's Silver in Paris

Boryana Kaleyn of Bulgaria won the silver medal in the Women's Rhythmic Individual All-Around at the Paris Olympics on Friday. Kaleyn delivered a convincing performance in the final, scoring 140,600 points. She secured second place, marking another significant achievement in her career.

This was Kaleyn’s second time in the Olympics, after a Tokyo 2020 appearance, where she finished fifth. Kaleyn secured Bulgaria's second medal in the women's individual event, following Adriana Dunavska's silver in Seoul 1988.

Kaleyn's silver medal is Bulgaria's seventh at the Paris Games after Semen Novikov's in the 87kg classical wrestling and Karlos Nasar's in the 89kg weightlifting Olympic titles, as well as bronze medals for taekwondo athlete Kimia Alizadeh, weightlifter Bozhidar Andreev in the 73kg weight class, and 57kg boxer Javier Ibáñez. Wrestler Magomed Ramazanov guaranteed at least a silver medal after qualifying for the 86kg freestyle final, set for Friday evening.

Stiliana Nikolova also competed in the rhythmic gymnastics event but committed errors and ended 11th after the qualifiers, one position short of the top 10 finalists.
