Bozhidar Andreev won a bronze medal in the men's 73 kg weightlifting competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris on Thursday. In his second appearance at Olympic Games, the Bulgarian athlete recorded a 344kg double after 154kg in the snatch and 190kg in the clean and jerk, which left him third behind Indonesia's Rizki Juniansyah and Thailand's Weeraphon Wichuma.

Andreev made six successful attempts and was the only one with this achievement in the competition.
