Bulgarian athletes claimed a total of eleven medals at the Junior Judo Balkan Championships. The international tournament took place in Podgorica, Montenegro, on June 1 and 2. 

In the boys’ competition, Tsvetelin Martinov won gold (50 kg weight class), Preslav Nikolov took silver (60 kg weight class), while Emo Hristov (50 kg weight class), Milen Nikolov (66 kg weight class), Ivo Dimitrov (73 kg weight class), Dimitar Nonchev (81 kg weight class) and Dobromir Ivanov (90 kg weight class) snatched bronze medals.

In the girls’ competition, Ema Vasileva (40 kg weight class) and Raya Vasileva (44 kg weight class) claimed silver medals, while Kalina Grancharova (44 kg weight class) and Emily Apostolova (70 kg weight class) won bronze medals.
