site.btaSofia to Host Modern Pentathlon World Cup between May 8 and May 13
Competitors from a record 43 countries will participate in the Modern Pentathlon World Cup tournament for men and women in Sofia from May 8 to 13. Representatives of Russia and Belarus will take part in the competition.
The event is also a qualifier for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
The best Bulgarian pentathlete Todor Mihalev will participate in the tournament.
During the World Cup, the Bulgarian Modern Pentathlon Federation will celebrate its 70th anniversary. International visitors will attend the event, including International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) President Dr. Klaus Schormann, Vice-President Joel Bouzou, 1987 world champion in modern pentathlon, currently President of the World Olympians Association (WOA) and the Peace & Sport organization, as well as UIPM Secretary General Shiny Fang.
