site.btaFootball: Romania to Play Bulgaria in Euro Tryout in Bucharest, June 4
Romania's national men's football team will play Bulgaria in Steaua Stadium in Bucharest on June 4. It will be a tryout match ahead of Romania's participation in UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany later in the summer.
The Bulgarians, led by head coach Ilian Iliev, will play at least three games in the spring. Two of them will certainly come between March 20 and 25, also in a tryout format, in the lead-up to Bulgaria's participation in the 2024-25 UEFA Nations League, which will begin in September.
Historically, Romania has played more matches against Bulgaria than any other national football team. Out of 33 games between the two Balkan neighbours, Bulgaria has won nine and Romania 18, and six games have ended in a draw.
Romania qualified for Euro 2024 as the top-ranking team in its qualifying group, in which it did not incur a single loss. It scored six wins and four draws in 10 matches in the group.
