9 Athletes to Represent Bulgaria at European U23 Swimming Championships
9 Athletes to Represent Bulgaria at European U23 Swimming Championships

Nine swimmers will represent Bulgaria at the upcoming European U23 Swimming Championships, which will be held in Dublin between August 11 and August 13, the Bulgarian Swimming Federation said on Tuesday.

Petar Mitsin, the current holder of the junior’s 400m freestyle world record, will start in 3 disciplines. He will compete in the 200, 400 and 800m freestyle. Yordan Yanchev  will also take part in three disciplines will swim (200, 400 and 800 m freestyle), as well as Kaloyan Levterov (50, 100 and 200 m backstroke).

Kaloyan Bratanov will take part in four events (200 m combined, 50, 100 and 200m freestyle).  Deniel Nankov will compete in 50 and 100m freestyle, Tonislav Sabev will be among the participants in the 50 and 100m breaststroke.

Three Bulgarians will take part in the women's competitions. Teya Nikolova will compete in the 50 and 100m breaststroke, Kameliya Stoimenova will take part in the 50, 100 and 200m breaststroke and Alexandra Dimitrova will have the most starts - she will swim the 50 and 100m backstroke, as well as the 50 and 100m butterfly.
