Hristea Ninova guaranteed Wednesday at least bronze medal for Bulgaria at the Junior European Boxing Championships at Ploiesti, Romania. She qualified for the semi-finals in the Fly category (50kg).

Ninova recorded a 5:0 win over Estonia's Ksenija Vesselova in the quarter-finals and will face the hosts' Rebecca Muller on Thursday for a place in the final.

Alexandra Buyuklieva, Angel Dimitrov, Roselyn Bachevski, Angel Samuilov and Yanko Iliev will also play quarterfinal matches at the event.
