Tokyo, August 4 (BTA special correspondent Dimiter Velyov) - Bulgaria's Evelina Nikolova lost against two-times European champion Iryna Kurachkina of Belarus in the semi-finals of the Women's Freestyle 57 kg wrestling Olympic tournament on Wednesday.


Tokyo, August 4 (BTA special correspondent Dimiter Velyov) - Bulgaria's Evelina Nikolova lost against two-times European champion Iryna Kurachkina of Belarus in the semi-finals of the Women's Freestyle 57 kg wrestling Olympic tournament on Wednesday.

In the quarter-finals, the 28-year-old Bulgarian, who won bronze at the 2021 European championship, defeated 2020 European champion Anastasia Nichita of Moldova by 6-3 points.

On Thursday, Nikolova will vie for the bronze with either Anshu Anshu of India or Valeria Koblova (Russian Olympic Committee). RI/LG//
